Throughout the feast, tribesmen would often use skulls of victims as drinking cups or candle holders, which shows that the Pelegostos were at least economical. Prior to feasting on long pork, tribal members would celebrate the coming meal often celebrating with a tribal dance half ballet, half funeral march, this dance became unpleasant for victims who arrive at the Pelegostos' territory. They are shown to be luring people into their trap as it is said that sailors traded spices for their local food (long pork, aka flesh).
